RE: Homak Gun Safe
Maybe I' m missing something here? Wouldn' t it be easier getting a new key made?Unless of course you lost your last key.Any locksmith could make you a new key even if you lost all of them.To me that would be the sensible way to get a new key.

Was thinkin the same thing, Ruger...LOL

RE: Homak Gun Safe
The keys for Homak safes are like those for a pop machine.....they are like a hollow cylinder. Any good locksmith could probably do it, but because these types of keys are often used for security and vending I think most locksmiths would need proof that you are the owner of the " appliance" .
I was checking the price Homak wants for the replacement keys.....they must be made of silver or something. |
RE: Homak Gun Safe
I had a locksmith make a back-up key for mine. I think I paid $5. No questions asked.......

RE: Homak Gun Safe
clattin,
Good to know. I incorrectly assumed that it might be an issue..... $5 beats the heck out of what Homak was asking |
RE: Homak Gun Safe
I' ll say one thing Homak must be really proud of their keys. You better keep your Homak keys under lock and key at that price.I' m not really familar with Homak safes but that' s kinda expensive for a key for a inexpensive safe.
