H7R Topper

Bought a 20ga H&R Topper Jr. for my 14 year old son. He loves it. We want to try it this deer season. I've contacted the local gunshop that I purchased the gun from and they tell me that it is not possible to mount either iron sights or a scope mount to it.
My 18 year old would also like to purchase the adult version of the Topper in 12ga. but, were thinking, if it's impossible to set either gun with sights or a scope we may not want to get another one.
Can "ANYONE" tell us if either option is possible? we figure any sight setup is better than a bead.

Of course it is possible. Perhaps there is no product you can buy off the shelf and install (but for all I know there might be). If the gun is to be used as a dedicated slug gun, I'm ptretty sure a competent gunsmith could install iron sights, even if they had to be soldered on.

Scope mounts for H&R can be done no problem?

Mike,
Thanks for your reply. I figured the guy (from Williams Gun Sight) was full of $%!# (We're in SE Michigan). What we wanted to do was to see if we could put sights or a scope on it (on a budget) before opening day Nov 15 so he might have a better chance at actually hittin something. Then if we could do that, my older son wanted to buy a Topper and do the same thing. They both still wanted to use them to shoot skeet and bird hunt. As far as I'm concerned, what ever we do doesn't have to be perfect or for that matter "dead nuts accurate", all I want to do is give the kid a little better chance at a good clean shot.:fighting0007:

Anything you can help us with we would really appreciate
