changing hammer sides on H@R USH

Hi! I just bought a H@R USH 12g, the gun is set up for right handed shooters and im left handed. I tried removing the hammer knob and it looks like its supposed to screw of and flip over. I even tried using a pliers on it to no avail. Is there a special way to be doing this?? Thanks

i would call H&R. sometimes the screws are counter clockwise on a hammer extension.

There is a small set screw inside the hollow. Shine a little light in there and you'll see it. Regular right-handed thread.

When you re-install it be sure to put a dab of low strength Lock-tite on maybe one side of the threads.

You'll be all set.

If you don't have loctite, just put a dab of clear nail polish on the threads.

i have a aftermarket hammer ext. but its of the same make as the one included with h&r guns from the factory. it takes a very small allen key. they never fully snug down, the one of my muzzleloader slips around slightly even with lock tite
