Default 30.06 recoil with 180gr and 150gr?

do you get more recoil using a heavier bullet such as a 180gr vs. 150gr? or doesn't that make a difference?
thanks

Supposedly there is supposed to be a difference but I've never noticed it.

There's a little more recoil but probably not enough to make a noticeable difference.

Short answer is yes. How much you may feel is an answer you'll have based on experimenting/shooting.

yes it'll boot your harder, and you will notice it. I can definitely tell diff between 150s and heavier 30-06 bullets - and can tell diff between 170/150gr in 30-30.

150 will be plenty in 30-06 for deer

Google Chuck Hawks recoil table, you'll find out exactly what the difference is.

Obviously you get more recoil, but I think your question refers to felt recoil. I have a friend that has a custom 06 that goes about 9 pounds. Off hand there isn't alot of difference in recoil. I have a Ruger Ultralight that is less than 7 pounds and the difference is quite noticable. Off a bench rest you notice it even more in either rifle. So in a heavier rifle you feel it less.

Also shorter barrels give you more muzzle jump and some folks equate that to recoil too.
