Recoil Pad
 

This may be a pu**y thing to ask but I was curious what is the best recoil pad to get to absorb the felt recoil. I have a mossberg 500 12 gauge

Not a pu**y thing to ask at all. I shot 2 boxes of 3 inch slug through a 500 sighting it in and my shoulder felt it the next day. For a recoil pad I know that limbsaver makes one and from what i hear they are a good product.

Limbsaver. Your shoulder will thank you for it.

I put a limbsaver on my mossberg 500 12, what a big improvement.

I just got one for my 30-06. Pachmayr worked well for me and cost less than $10.00.

get either a Limbsaver or a Pachmayr Decalator

X2 what he said.Don't have any experience with the limbsaver,But the decelerator will definitely work.

i shoot a 30-06 and use a limbsiver. kicks like a .243 or even less.

Limbsaver and Pachmyer, are the big name ones. There are some others too that work very well also.

While picking up my 1st number one a few days ago, Doug says I have something you might be interested in. An old longtime customer has heart trouble and has been consigning all his heavies per the docs orders. I just happened to walk in as he was leaving, saw the Tropical and had to have it so picked it up today. Two of the other customers who shoot some of the heavy calibers and 3 1/2" shells in their shotguns say Limbsaver all the way. They both said and Doug concurred that the Limbsaver cuts recoil by 60 to 80%. So I got home, got online and ordered one. They suggested putting one on the 45-70 as well along with the 30-06. There were seven other shooters in the store and all agreed the Limbsaver was the one to get and that's good enough for me...............John
