I have owned 3 rugers a .257 roberts, 30-06, and a 300 win mag in the M77. All shoot really great and all of them are still with me. I own 3 rem 700 and one winchester model 70. Never had a problem with accuracy out of any of them. The model 70 in .270 win shot 2 inch groups when I bought it. Had it glass bedded and groups dropped down to under an inch. Personally I think you can get good and bad out of all types

I have a safe full of M77's (.243, .25-06, .257, .270, .30-06, .7mm) and every one of them drive tacks with the right "store bought" ammo...

I wish I could get a gun that drives tacks. seems everyone I get is a turd.
Or should I say the ones that do shoot are far and few between.
I just ordered a vanguard in 7-08 and an axiom stock to put on it. I sure hope it shoots.
Remington has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I own 2 Ruger77's chambered in .280 and 7mm mag. Using Federal Premium ammo in both,.280 has always been tack-driver. Not so much on the 7mm until i had after-market trigger pulling 2lb 12oz. The 7mm is now a 1" at 100yds.
