Remington and Dakota Arms...

I'm not sure if this is a good thing, or a bad thing. Remington has definitely been buying up a lot of the smaller gun makers these last few years, though. I hope they don't become the GM of the firearms industry where they get so big a bloated they collapse under their own weight taking a bunch of great brands with them.

Remmy thoughts...

I like Dakota but they have been "struggling" as of late. Bummer for Miller Arms too as their single's were extraordinary. Time will tell as to outcome.:sad0064:

Remington seems to be on a buying binge.. I like Mike's GM analogy.. they sucked up Marlin/H&R/NEF a couple years ago, promptly discontinued a bunch of stuff (I was wanting a Target model in .38-55), and you can bet that they're gonna cheap out everything else "to make it viable in the marketplace"

Sad to say but its the way of the future. I haven't seen a new marlin in a while but I always favored them in the lever action dept.

Then you should go out and buy whatever it is that you want now. In the future they will be junk.

I did and have never looked back.

I wouldn't mind a Sendero in 7mm Dakota...
