Well for small game and small varmints- bolt action, blued and walnut. .22lr CZ " Varminter" .

Deer sized game and larger varmints mainly bolt action, synthetic, parkerized. Either .308Win. FR-8 or Rem Sendero .300Win. Mag. Sometimes Semi-auto NM M1-A .308.

I got a few others but these are ones I' ve actually hunted with that I still own.

Remington 710 in .270 , Synthetic - Blued
CVA Stag Horn .50 cal, Synthetic - Blued
Mossberg 500 12 ga., Wood - Blued
Marlin 336 .30-30, Wood - Blued, lever action

the rifle I deer hunt with the most is a blued mauser action with a stainless barrel. Its in a wood stock part of the time and a synthetic part of the time. Lately(last few years) Ive hunted with it in the wood stock.
