Default Glock 30 Vs. Springfield XD

I have my choice of which one I want but I have to decide quickly. They are both compact 45's. Both are brand new in the box with holsters. The only advantage is the XD has 5 mags and the 30 only has 2. Which one should I get and why. Thanks![/align]

I'd get the XD without a second thought. Just as reliable, just as well made, more comfortable and natural grip angle improves accuracy and comfort, controls placed better and easier to operate (like the slide stop/release). I've owned a Glock, and I traded it for my XD, and I don't regret it one bit.

Really boils down to a personal choice as both are excellent pistols. I prefer the feel of the Glock andfeel they have a much more positive trigger reset. Fondle both and pick the one that you like. For me it would be the Glock. I trust my life everyday to a Glock as my backup weapon while on duty and it also serves as my off duty weapon.

I have a Glock Model 22 and a XD40 in sub compact. The Springfield feels much more comfortable in my hands and I have large hands. I have only put four boxes of ammo through the XD, but have no issues. I have the Glock for 4-5 years and it has at least 2000 rounds through it. I have never had it jam, fail to feed, fail to fire or eject even with the cheapest ammo. It always goes bang.

I would buy the gun that is more comfortable in your hands.

Feel them both and pick the one that fits. My pick would be the XD for sure, but see what feels best to you.

I'd vote for the XD because it feels the best in my hand and I like the cocked indicator, chamberloaded indicator and the grip safety. If that doesn't do it for you then go with the Glock. They are both great guns.

Since this post is a few days old, I'm betting that you've already made the decision. Which did you get?

I would get the XD because it feels better to me. I don't think you can really go wrong with either gun.
Which one did you go with?
