7mm Dakota...

Any of you guys ever shot one or have any info about them? What I would like to eventually do is get two rifles built in one cartridge. One rifle will be a lightweight hunting rifle (sub 7lbs) and the other would be a long range rig. I am a fan of 7mm stuff and the Dakota has caught my eye...

The Dakota cartridges were one of the first beltless magnum designs. As far as I know they remain a proprietary cartridge.

Performance wise I think its closer to a7 Ultra Mag than a 7mm Rem Mag.

I've never seen one or know of anyone who has one.
