RE: Top shooting myths?
ORIGINAL: HEAD0001 Here is my favorite one of all time. "I know exactly where I hit the deer, and it was a good hit". After that I ask them why didn't they recover the deer. And I plainly ask how does a deer live without a Heart?? And they reply I do not know. "But I watched it hit him". That is my second favorite. However I do not know if it is a reason or an excuse. However I may be wrong. Maybe a deer really does not need a heart?? And I have a buddy that -------------------!!!!!!Knows everything!!!!!!!!!!!!![:@] It always amazes me how a hunter knows exactly where he hit the animal without a recovery. Maybe he has a crystal ball?? Tom. |
RE: Top shooting myths?
The bigger the hole you shoot in the deer, the louder it whistles as it runs off through the wind.

RE: Top shooting myths?
Shotgun slugs are less dangerous in semi urban areas than rifles.
Automatic assault weapons are more dangerous than manually operated guns. Gun shows are a legal "loopholes" where any felon or terrorist can buy a gun. Oh cant forget the classics "A 357 magnum can shoot through an engine block" ![]() |
RE: Top shooting myths?
ORIGINAL: Ridge Runner ORIGINAL: driftrider 1) the bullet rises as it goes downrange Mike ever watch your crosshairs from a vised rifle when you turned the scope in the up direction? your crosshair moves down, so you raise the muzzle up to get back on target. your line of sight and bullet path (even before it starts to drop) are not parralel lines. the bullet goes above line of sight because the barrel is pointed at an upward angle from line of sight. This is why a sloped scope rail will give you more "up" adjustment in your scope than a flat one will. RR RR |
