I personally dont like glocks and i doubt i will ever get one. they dont fell right in the hand and i like exposed hammers when possible. but something got me thinking.
why doesnt glock make a 22LR semisuto? i dont want or need another 22autopistol but i just think they would make a killing in this market. lots of people like glocks and lots of people like 22s so why dont they combine them? just some thoughts

Well I' m a HUGE Glock fan
I think Glock figures why make it since there are a couple of excellent Glock conversion kits for the .22lr already. People who already appreciate/like the Glock only needs to buy the conversion instead of whole new gun. I would like to see one though. Are you listening Gaston?

I might be wrong but I think it has to do with importing laws.Glock' s are made in Austria and assembled in Smyrna Georgia.I don' t recall the model number but Glock makes a 380 that cannot be imported in the United States.I like Glock' s and if they could make and import a 22 LR it would be a winner like the rest of Glock' s guns.Until laws change for the better I don' t see it happening.

Ruger your right!!! I forgot about the whole blow back import law. The Glocks you are referring to are the Glock 25 and Glock 28. They are both blow back operated .380acp' s. The 25 is the same size as the 19, 23 & 32 and the 28 is the baby .380acp which is the same size as the 26, 27 & 33.

Thanks guys, You confirmed what I thought was the reason.TScott I saw where they were making the 380' s but couldn' t remember the model number(s).I' m not much on 380' s but we should still have the right to have them imported.

The ATF has a goofy formula for figuring what is and isn' t an importable handgun. It goes by size dimensions, weight and certain features. Ever notice how many imported concealable sized handguns have a thumbrest on the griops? Well that' s one thing that goes towards making them " legal" to import.
Make sense? No? Well thats the ATF.[:' (]
