Stock painting, refinishing?
 

Hey guys, I was tinkering with my .270 today and it has a decent amount of scratches in it. Its almost like somebody tried to sand it, because they are all length wise on the stock. It is a McMillan finished in Woodland camo.

Now, can I sand the stock down with 600 grit (or finer) sandpaper to get rid of the scratches, or is it a good candidate to try out my rattle can skills and do a olive/black web finish...?
