I have used the federal 100 gr game kings on witetail with great results, never had one stay inside, always blew nice holes through them. Hornady 100 gr also work awsome. I would stay away from moly coated bullets

I agree on the wind statement since you'll be shooting pronghorn. For wind-bucking ability, you want high ballistic coefficient matched with some speed. The highest b.c. you're going to find in a .243 hunting bullet are indeed the Speer/Sierra 100 gr. sbt's at .430. The 90 gr. Swift comes close at .419, but is long enough that it's hard to push it much faster than the 100 grainers; so might not have an advantage. Also, Hornady and Speer have 85 grain bullets that have a b.c. right around .400. Finally, Barnes has the 85 grain tsx and a new 80 grain tipped tsx that should be fairly aerodynamic. The new Nosler E-tip looks promising too but there's no data for it yet. There are lots of choices if you want to handload.

If you just want factory loads, I'd pick out the Federal 100 grain sbt and 85 grain tsx, the Remington 90 grain Swift, and the Winchester xp3 95 grain loads and pick whichever one shoots best in your rifle.

that sierra 85 HPBT....says its got a BC of .282....is that a mistake?

I already have 3 boxes, 1 of 100gr SPBT federals, 1 federal nosler ballistic tip 95gr, and 1 Rem. 95gr Accutip.

Now considering that 85gr HPBT, maybe that 90gr scirocco, not sure any others?

The Winchester xp3 95 grain and Federal 85 grain tsx have b.c.'s around .400 and would probably perform very well. But they're probably also more expensive. The 85 grain hpbt is a decent idea, and I'd definitely try the 90 grain Swift. Try the loads you already have and see how they shoot.

Berger suggests a 1 in 9 twist to stabilize that bullet, and the OP's Weatherby only has a 1 in 10. Those bullets look nice, and I wasn't aware until now that they had a game version to go with the target bullet, but it would probably keyhole at least slightly from that Weatherby...

I think I'm stuck to factory loads...less I have someone reload me some, and that would cost $$, I think I'll try those HPBT, and maybe those 90gr sciroccos too.

No one's said anything about the rifle itself...I have a pic attached for dowload up there, not sure the pic shows much detail. Hope she shoots well, course I'm use to mostly bigger bores, so I'm thinking comparatively she will.

It's a very nice looking rifle. I really like the stock. Is that factory or a custom paint job?

I went ahead and posted it so people could see it without clicking the link. I didn't even notice the link the first time I looked at your post.

And great scope choice BTW. I just put a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50mm mil-dot scope on my Rem 700 LSS Limited. It's an amazing scope for the money.

I tried posting the pic before but could only get it to post with it as an attachment.

Factory stock rifle...

Wanted the zeiss with the z600 reticle(which would havematched the .243win better)but at 14x its only the z800(which is morefor ultraflat cartridges like .300RUM, etc...)or mil-dot, but I'll be able to figure it out/tune it wit the mil-dot for those longer ranges. Has the target knobs on the mil-dot too. Was looking for more of a lightweight set up, so went with the 44mm over the 50mm. Also 44mm figured it was larger than the 40mm leupold, so gives me a lil something extra at least. Seems like a great scope so far. Noticeably lighter than the nikons BDC I checked out and I think even the vx-iii

Was really the only factory rifle that had what I wanted. lightweight, 24" barrel, 243 win, synthetic stock, ideally sand color..., blackened stainless barrel.

Probably would've built a custom for more money if this wasn't on the market, or "settled" for something else, would've had to give somethign up somewhere. Had in been a custom wouldve probably chose a rem 700 action, though I'm hoping she does fine.
