Have you checked out the Winchester Super X 3? It's supposed to shoot everything like you want, and at that price range too.

Thats a hard foot to put a shoe on. The X3 is an awesome gun, and for the sake of $200.... I'd save up and roll with it. You are going to get what you pay for. If you try and save a little money with a 3.5" auto loader, you are more than likely going to end up regretting it.

Aside from the SBE/SBE2 (and even including those), I've seen a number of guns that work fine in the goose blind fail out pheasant hunting - and vice versa. In the goose blind, I can't say that I've been terribly impressed with the overall effectiveness of the 3-1/2" rounds, vice the traditional 3", especially factoring in the extra expense and what I'm hearing is "less than reliable" availability at other than large retailers.

There are some very good 3 ½’ models that cycle lighter loads. The 11-87 Super Mag is a long way from being one of them even with the barrel seal activator installed. Good models would be the Beretta Xtrema’s, Browning Gold/Silver, Franchi 912, Winchester SX2/SX3.

If you go used you should be able to find all of these models in your price range. The Gold’s are being closed out in favor of the new Maxus and you may find a good deal on one. The SX2’s are being replaced by the SX3 so there are good deals on them. Franchi stopped making their 912 but is now made for Dick’s Sporting Goods called the Diamond 912 and is in your price range.
