Winchester Accubond

Is the Winchester Accubond bullet strong enough for elk, moose, bear or is the XP3 better. Looking for results from peoples experience using this bullet. If it makes a difference am shooting a 300 WSM.:)

RE: Winchester Accubond

The ammo may be Winchester but the Accubond bullet is by Nosler.

IMHO this is one of the best North American game bullets available. I shoot the 200gr bullet from a 300WM at 3000fps and have shot elk at 683 yds, muley at 432 yds, and whitetail at 200 yds. The bullet performed flawlessly each time.

I plan on shooting 110 grain accubonds in my 257 Weatherby for deer

An Accubond in the appropriate caliber is more than adequate.

RE: Winchester Accubond

Personally the Accubonds have proven worthy on 2 bull moose and 2 bull elk (grain/calibers used - 160gr/.284 & 225gr/.338). Side note my experience has shown they've been a good bullet to work with in terms of accuracy (as a reloader).

Sorry not much help on the XP3's as I don't know anybody who have used them for larger then deer.
