Default .22 Pistol

Looking at getting one of these. Hope to get one that is good for target practice...

Any thoughts?

Can't argue with this statement at all. I have an original bearcat 22 and a MK II SS slab side target 22 that are as accurate as any out there, PERIOD! I have taken many small game animals and birds with both of these over the years. The single six combo is another fine gun. You just can't go wrong with a Ruger in my opinion

For the money, I don't think you'll be much happier than you would be with a Ruger. I have two of them as well, a bull-barrel Mk II that just flat shoots, and a Single-Six Convertible that is almost as accurate, but offers the added versatility of converting from .22LR to .22 Magnum simply by swapping cylinders.

Ruger Mark II, Browning Buckmark, and the Smith & Wesson 422 are all very good. Try every brand of quality ammo as they tend to group differently.

Ruger Mark II. They were replaced with the Mark III. It is my understanding that the Mark III is not the easiest to disassemble to clean.

I don't own a Buckmarkyet, but I've shot one a couple times. I thought it was a pretty nice gun. I think it was the target model. Just my .02.

If price is not a major concern.Look at a S&W Model 41.JMHO ,but they are some of the if not the best I have ever shot. For the money you can't hardly beat the Ruger
