suggest use a very good bullet like the Barnes TSX ..........neck or behind ear shots only.

Blood trail I guess would be a Problem with such a small bullet.

They regulary use the 22-250 up northern Alaska to hunt seal........ Polar bear or caribou have been taken with the 22-250.

Will a .22lr kill a deer? Yes. Will a .50BMG kill adeer? Yes. Pick a chambering suited for the task at hand rather than compromise and just use what's there available. Don't you owe the game the respect for at least a clean ethical kill?

Yep it'd kill them with proper shot placement, but do like you said and get the .243! It's great for deer.

YES you can hunt deer with a 22-250. just use the biggest grain bullet you can find. midwayusa.com has 70 to 80 grain bullets for the 22-250 and it works just as well if not better than the 243. i have a 22-250 and it has taken countless deer.
