Default Ziess Conquest

I was quoted a great price today on a Ziess Conquest 4.5X14X44 In same price range as a Leupold, and burris. How good of a scope is the Ziess
Ive always heard they had good optics.Does anyone have one or looked through one,and if so would you get the Ziess or Leupold

Zeiss conquest are great scopes their glass is much better than leupold or burris and eye relief stays the same thru-out power range, others you have to get closer to the scope at higher power.I have two Conquest scopes and three leupolds.
Hands Down Zeiss Conquest are better!!!

I have only used the Conquest 3x9x40,but it was an excellent scope that held zero with my 338x8mmremmag.I prefer it over the VXIII.For a big game scope,I would not go above 10x.

I find 9x or 10x plenty for shots on big game to 500 yards which is as far as I would ever consider shooting at a big game animal. And I prefer no more than 3x or 3.5x for those close range shots that often present themselves, such as when a bull elk is bugled into 20 yards or so.

The scope can be focused to your eye,so it shouldn't matter if your eyes are that great. If your scope can't be focused for your eye,all that the extra magnification will deliver is more distortion.
