Can't find gun in blue book
 
I have a old12 guage single break open i can't find in blue book.


Central Arms Co.
St.louis

There is a # stamped on the bottom right hand corner of frame.

It sounds like an old Savage shotgun stamped to a hardware store brand, but could be Iver Johnson. Depending on condition, it's only value is as an shooter IF checked by gunsmith to ensure it's safe to shoot. The value should be in the 40$-70$ range.

Do a Google search for "Central Arms Co."

I did and found quite a bit of info.

Thanks dustyr,You are right stalkingbearthe gun was made for Shapleigh Hardware Co.by either
Crescent arms or Iver Johnson around 1900-1920.Sold for less than $5.00 .Pretty cool either way to have something like this, from back then.Thanks again guys.

Stalking bear is correct - it is one of those made for the hardware trade guns, marked to suit the hardware chain that sold them. Like Western Auto or some such outfit.

A perfect example would be the vaious "J.C. Higgins" & "Ted Williams" pieces Sears used to sell. A well-known maker produced them and put a name on as requested by the retailer.
