remington accu tip slugs
Has anyone heard that the remington accu tip slugs cause damage to a rifled shotgun barrel. I read this on another forum and I don't understand how this could be? Any comments would ba appriciated.

RE: remington accu tip slugs
I don't see how. Unless the sabot is made of some material that's different than all the other sabots. As far as the slug itself goes, it's not contacting the rifling at all so it can't be that. I call BS.

I never heard anything like that.....and I'm not willing to spend $20 for a box of 5 slugs to find out either.

RE: remington accu tip slugs
The Accutip slugs were made specifically to shoot out of a rifled barrel. If you try to shoot them from a smoothbore then you will have the same issues as shooting any other sabot slug from a smoothbore
