just ordered a new remington sps varmit in 243 thinking about topping it with a bushnell elite 8-24x40. tell me what you think

I think you're going to have a DANDY varmit rifle. Just slick it up, break it in, and work up a good load then make us envious when you post the tiny groups.:)

Nice rifle. I had a Bushnell Elite 4200 in 6X24. The glass was pretty good. The scope tracked very well. However the scope is a monster. It is very loooooong and heaaaaavy. But that may not bother you in a varmint rifle. However it was too big for my taste. Check out Bear Basin for the scope. I bought mine there for $400, I just sold it on E-Bay a couple of weks ago. Tom.

i was at the sporting goods store today and mabye i will top it with a sightron 8-24x56.
