30 TC Cartridge
 

Anybody have any experience with this new load? Does anyone make a factory bullet other than Hornady? I could not find anything on Remington's or Federal's web site. The local gun store has all of their TC Icons marked 20% off and they had a stainless synthetic stock on that I can get out the door for about $695 but I am not sure about the 30 TC?

hi my name is josh. the 30 tc catride very closely mirrors the performance of a 30-06 and actually slightly out performs it. it is a short action, so it is light and yes right now hornady is theonly manufacturer making ammo for it at this time, unless you reload.:D

I wouldn't buya gun in a .30TC just because I don't see it making it very long and ammo will get hard to find.

If it was one of their single-shots, I'd consider it. At least then you can just buy another barrel if the round goes obsolete. I think there are waay too many 30's out there and IMO thisis not going to be one of the ones to make it. Your call.

If I'm going with a 30 caliber I like the classics like 30-06, 30-30, 308 etc. That way they more than likely aren't going anywhere and are easy to find ammo for.

that is a good idea about the single shot. and yes they do make a barrel for 30 tc so i would buy it in like 308 and then buying a 30 tc barrel

Nice little cartridge nobody needs.Whatever powder/primer Hornady is loading it with will be available for use in any other cartridge soon enough so I'd go with a different caliber.You'll have all the performance and then some so long as the case has greater capacity than the 30 TC.
