hmmmm....maybe your local dealer. :eek: Remember, whatever you find elsewhere needs to have shipping and transfer fees added to it. that's all above and beyond the markup the other dealer is getting. Cut out him as a middleman and go to your local dealer. Loyal customers get taken care of .

I would recommend Gunbroker. Not having to pay sales tax plus a little savings on the gun itself has always saved me enough to justify paying shipping and transfer fees.

If your local wal-mart sells guns try them. Many people think wal-mart only sell "cheap" guns, but the one here has a huge catalog and they will order anything in the catalog. Sure they usually only stock bargain rifles, but I would think they can get just about any Marlin. I paid about $40 less for my Mossberg than the local gun shops wanted ($315 vs- $355) . It did take about 2 months for it to come in, but I ordered in January so it didn't matter to me.
