Howa?

So im looking for a new yote rifle and found a stainless Howa 22-250, its a nice gun, and im thinking real strong about getting it. My ? is, a guy told me S&W makes howa, is there any truth to that?

From what I have found on the web,Howa seems to make their own rilfes. They are a Japanese company.

Howa makes Howa in Japan. They also make the Weatherby Vanguard.

S&W don't make Howa. And yes, they do make good rifles-in fact, I've never even seen a truly bad 1.

S&W and Mossberg actually sold the 1500 rifle which was made by Howa.It was virtually the same rifle as the Weatherby Vanguard.
