I believe the bar pressure level is stamped on the gun... Also, Rem. has stated to NOT load them up!

Trap Door Specs.?? Where did that information come from?? Not arguing, just asking??
Personally I can not believe they built the rifle to Trap Door pressure specs.
I read 2 reviews on the Leverguns site. Both guys over there liked what they recieved. But that is only 2 reviews.
My question would be how well regulated are they?? And at what distance?? Tom.

I believe that. However I do not recall ever seeing anything in writing from Remington(or any other mfr.) that said to "Load them up hot". Everyone always says to not even use reloads. Tom.

I had my hands on one about 3 months ago. Was ready to buy it until I started to do some reading on it. The pressures supposedly should not exceed those of the old trapdoors. This seems odd because they also chamber this same rifle in 30-06.

.........Sooooooo....why would anyone want to buy one if it can't be loaded up past the pitiful trapdoor ammo specs?? With a lockup like that and proper barrel steel, I just fail to see the why???

Yes, I believe these rifles should be held to "trapdoor Springfield" pressure levels.......

its a liability problem,i have been told that i can by regular over the counter loads in it,many others have been reloading with heavier loads.they do not want you to put couple buff bores in and thump both triggers.if i need to go for more power(which would be another continent)i have a 1895 450 marlin and a pair of cz 550s in 375 h&h and 458 lott, among others .i want a double for under $5000 to put in the display and plink with once in a while.even cabelas Kodiak double rifle says NO HOT LOADS ,and its $ 4500 the standard 45/70 has been dropping the biggest bears on this continent since its birthday.the 45/70 IS NOT A DGR caliber, you can load it till the bullet wont fit in case and its still not a dangerous game caliber.dangerous game rifles start at 375h&h and some think that is too small.
