Question about Savage bolt assembley

I have Savage BVSS 12. I was cleaning the bolt and I accidently brought the firing pin forward. Any Idea how to bring the little tit back, which is in front of the rear baffle assembly? AnyHELP is GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks

RE: Question about Savage bolt assembley

Put it against the edge of your bench and put a little pressure on it while twisting the bolt. It's a pretty stout spring.Slow and steady pressure will get it done.

Or, you can break the 1/4" allen head bolt loose, loosen it about 95% (about to come out) and then it will slide up there. It's easy to damage the threads this way if you are not real careful.
