want to get a .357 for hunting whitetails and target shooting. was wondering if anyone knows if there is a handgun out there that has a scope rail from factory?

In .357...none that I'm aware of that are anything good. My first thought was a Ruger but for target shooting as well, Freedom Arms.

Just waiting now for the barrage of "can't hunt deer with the .357 mag" posts.

Smith and Wesson
Performance Center Firearms - Model 686 - 6" Weighted Barrel - .357MAG

I found this one on Smiths website in the Performance Center section. I'm sure it will kill deer and would probably shoot well too.

My first thought on that is "why does Hornady offer LEVERevolution in 357 Mag if you "can't" hunt deer with it. I know you're not saying it can't be done, just making a comment to the fact that people will be dogging it.
