RE: Cheapest round?

A friend of mine had a home defense cd and the guy said your #1 gun in your safe zone should be a shotgun loaded with #9 or skeet load. These rounds will limit your penetration through walls into other rooms so that no one is injured in the path of fire. Also have in your safe zone a flashlight and some form of phone(cell). Mossberg sells a J.I.C which I have and its sweet!!!!

Ok, I'll get some 00 buck shot shells for my Mossberg for self defense. I still want to get a new rifle that shoots a cheap rounds for plinking.

I'll look into an SKS.
Look into an SKS or AK style rifle. They both use the 7.62x39 round that is very cheap to get and also 223 rounds are cheap but not as cheap as the 7.62x39.
