S&W Sigma
I picked up aSigma last night at Academy for $249 after a mail in rebate. Trigger is less than impressive, but for that price who can complain.

RE: S&W Sigma
What caliber? I had a S&W 40VE 40 cal. It had a terible trigger and I also had to polish the feed ramp so it would feed shells properly. Other than that it shot OK. I sold it and all I have now in a large caliber is my H&K USP 40.

Here's my H&K. Sweetest shooting semi auto I've ever shot.

RE: S&W Sigma
I've got a Sigma in .380 that I've had for quite awhile. It functions OK. I mainly use it for concealed carry. As was said before, the trigger is terrible, but then I didn't buy it for paper punching. It's for flesh punching at short range

RE: S&W Sigma
Mine is a 9mm. I thought about getting the 40, but I knew I had about 600-700 rounds of 9mm at home.

RE: S&W Sigma
I have always liked the look and feel of the Sigma but the trigger kept me away. I ended up getting a MR Baby Eagle. I still may get the Sigma one day and see if anything can be done to the trigger other then a $100 trigger job. This is my 9mm its one sweet shooter.

RE: S&W Sigma
Sell that Sigma....I had one as a duty weapon for about 2 weeks (while at the police academy) Pull the trigger wouldnt go off, pull it again and when it gets to the end of the pull give it a yank and boom!!!! I gave it to the academy for a demo for them and went with the Glock Model 22, .40 shot 93% on my first qualification, out of 50 rounds......hope this helps, I contacted S&W and they said they had trouble with the triggers with them.....

RE: S&W Sigma
KS, thanks for the advice, but I knew what I was getting when I bought it, and I don't make it out to be something it isn't. I just needed a 9mm to go with the ammo I had left.

RE: S&W Sigma
I had 40VE. After many brands of ammo, different mags and 2 trips back to the factory I traded it on an XD and never looked back.

RE: S&W Sigma
The experience I've had with other people's sigmas is this: Yes the factory trigger is terrible, yes it can be improved but not much (as compared to others),decent accuracy IF you work around the trigger weight, and most of them unbelievably were pretty reliable out of box. Cheap home defense gun that will work with miminum of work but not good enouth to reccomend over better guns. 1 of S&W's not so good ideas overall.
