RE: .22 WMR choice
I don't know anything about either gun, but unless you have a specific "need" for the 22 magnum, I would go with a 22 long rifle. The cost of 22 magnum ammo has gotten pretty high. I would go with a long rifle or just step up to a 223.

I'm deciding between a Marlin 925M and the Savage 93G bolt action .22WMR rifiles. Does anyone own any of these two and what's your opinion on them? Need some help deciding. Thanks.

As for the 22 mag...We have had a22 mag. of some kind or another aroundsince they first came out. It has to be the ultimate pest control gun to have on a farm. It will dropeven bigger pestat much longer ranges than a 22lr will, and the best part is,i don't have to reload it!
The last several years i've been shooting a Rem. 597M that i installed a straight 7.5 X Leupold on. It's taken quite a few ground hogs and many other pest, even at longer ranges... To this day it's never failed to feed, function, or fire every time. I'm more than happy with it...
If i want to target shootand save money, i just use a 22lr for that...

I have a Savage (with accutrigger) in .22 WMR and it's a model 93 (wasn't cheap either).....it's a fine shooting gun.....it's also fairly reliable....it stretches the 40 grain .22 bullet to 100 yards sucessfully.....I like mine!

If you really would like to have a .22mag, don't let yourself be talked out of it. I'm assuming you already have a.22LR rifle/s. Do you want semiauto capabilities or are you just wanting best accuracy? If accuracy is the goal,go with the savage between the 2. Now we have to wake up the people that fell over when they saw me actually reccomending savage rifle over another.I'm NEVER without a .22mag-in fact I currently have 4. I've found that not only is the .22mag superior for larger varmits and longer range than the .22LR, it's also a viable alternative to shooting small game IF you use "solid" bullets (fmj). Fmj bullets fired from .22mag rifle will perform exactly like a .22LR hp-same terminal ballistics (wound channel), but with more penetration and range of course. I own both .22LR rifles and .22mag rifles and hunt with both.

I spent $800+, making an ultimate 10-22,22lr. it was an awesome shooter, but then a friend gave me a savage 93 in 22 wmr... and it shota little better thanthe ruger... out of the box...... kinda ticked me off, and every time I looked at the ruger I thought what a waste.. so I sold it... I cannot get over how accurate the savage is, It's stainless and I just put a blue evolution stock on it... now it looks as cool as it shoots.........now waiting on my 917 marlin, got the custom stock made, hope it shoots as good...
