browning

I am new to hunting. I just got a Browning BPS Hunter 12 g. from my girlfriends dad for my birthday. Do they make a scope for this gun if I want to deer hunt? Thanks in advance!!!

You can get a scope mounted on the gun. But if your going to do that your probably going to need to pick up a slug barrel. The standard barrel on the BPS is more of an all around barrel. You can shot buckshot at deer, bird shot, non sabot slugs and such out of it as it is and you really dont need a scope. But if you want to extend your range you then you need to purchase the rifled barrel and buy the scope and scope mounts.

This is the rifled barrel. 12ga 3" 22 inch $388

hope this helps

There's several scope mounts available for these guns. I used to have 2 10gauge exclusively for turkey and drilled & tapped them for top scope mounts, althou no gunsmithing mounts are available too. The easily removable mounts are probably better if this gun is meant for allround use.
