I just picked one of these up second hand and was wondering how you take the plug out of the gun? when i unscrew the forcap, there is a threaded rod and what appears to be no access to obtain the plug. any help is appreciated

I have a SBE, I will check my manual later today when I get home and let you know if you haven't found out by then.

Well, the SBE is a different design, on mine the plug is just under the cap. I went to the Benelli site and could see the rod you were talking about, but there wasn't much info there. I bet there is some kind of retaining clip or snap ring just inside the tube? You might go to the Benelli site and email them. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It may be the system as my Benelli M2. Under the forearm screw cap there is a retaining clip that must be pulled out using needle nose pliers (or similar ). Manualsuggests using eye protection as the spring could launch out of the tube when the retaining clip is removed.

i figured it out, there is a small opening at the top of the endcap where a benelli plug fits down, its not spring loaded, just a rod that runs inside the spring. I got the gun for a hell of a deal 2nd hand but it didnt come with a manual.

In my opinion, you aren't missing out much not having a manual. Luckily the guns are very simple, the manual leaves a lot to be desired. Good luck with it.
