Rem 870 scope mount and/or scope??
 

I have a remington 870 12 gauge that I use strictly as my slug gun. I noticed this year as I was preparing for the whitetail season that the threads in my scope mount had stripped out and my mount was moving up and down because the screw would not tighten. I am currently in the market for a new scope mount and scope(just because I am not real fond of the one I have now). Any suggestion on a new scope mount and/or a new scope for my slug gun.

I would get a cantilever rifled barrel and a Nikon 2x7x32 Pro Staff scope. I never was a fan of those scope mounts that saddle the receiver.

If you don't want to get a cantilever barrel,just get your local gunsmith to drill & tap your existing barrel for a cantilever mount. It would be cheaper than buying a cantilever barrel,and just as solid.
