RE: Best, small handgun for conceal?
The glock type guns tend to get a little heavy when loaded. I have a 23 and love it but it is more difficult to carry. I bought a Smith J frame in .357 and it had extreme recoil, it cut my thumb when shot. I sold it and got a Ruger LCP. I love it, unloaded about 10oz. Small and compact and suprisingly accurate and easy to shoot. It is only a .380, but with good bullets will come close to 9mm. Super easy to carry and cost about $350. I also like the polymer Kahr 40's.

I have a Kahr pm9, while it is just a 9mm you can get them in a 45 cal but they are slightly wider, I have an exteded maganize in mine so I can rap my hand around it. The most important thing in a CC gun is your ability to quickly draw the weapon, pinpoint accuracy is really not the most important element, as most of your shots should be extremely close, if you are shooting more than 20 feet the police are going to ask you why you had to use your firearm when you could have just run away. That is the the case in MN, you can only use deadly force to protect yourself from grave bodily injury or death.

I have had several of the small pistols and I went with the Kahr PM9. It is much thinner and smaller than the Glock and functions flawless. i have an Alessie ankle holster and a DeSantis Mini-Slide holster. Don't even know you are carring it.............

I carry either my Glock 23 (.40) or 36 (.45) in a smart carry holster. They are both basically the same size with a + 1 extension on the 36. The 36 is getting most of the attention now that I have night sites on it. The 23 was my first gun so it has some sentimental value so it does make it out of the safe every now and then.
