.44 Ruger Carbine Trigger Guard broke!
 

Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine made in the 60's (1962 to be specific). Fine shooting, accurate, yada yada etc.

The trigger guard broke (a rather common malady for this gun).

None are available that I can find. It is made of some kind of 'pot metal', probably cast aluminum, and can't be welded.

Anyone got one?

I've had the gun since the early 70's and really don't want to give it up. We work good together.

The ONLY way to obtain another is cruising gunsmith shops,gun parts companies,parts auction sites,and especially large gun shows-ask plenty of people there.

If you find one see if they have two. I had the same thing happen to me. I love my .44, first deer gun I had. I have had every gunsmith look at. They all say they can fix it, then wind up sending back in the same condition. Mine broke the little tit in the front of the assembly. It holds the action up and in line and allows it to cycle. I have contacted Ruger and they informed me they could not get me a replacement but would offer a discount on a new .44. No thanks. My only advice is to keep an eye out for parts gun. Good Luck.
