Shotguns?

Hey guys,

Up until now I have strictly bowhunted. I am looking to do rabbit hunting during the winter, turkey in the spring, and possibly waterfowl in the fall (possibly some upland thrown in there too). Anyway, I don't know whether this is too many types of game to hunt with one shotgun, but my question to you guys is:

What is the best shotgun for the money? I'd like to spend as little as possible, because of university and other payments, but I'd also like a great quality gun. I know most will recommend a 12 gauge, but my question is more catered towards manufacturer and model, because in my short research period it seems like there is so many different manufacturers and models...so whats the best one out there?

Thanks a lot, I'm looking forward to hearing your responses,

Mike

Look at a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870. They are both pump and very sensible priced. They are probably the two most popular pump out there and both will last you a lifetime. Go to the store handle each and see which fits you best.

I started hunting with an 870 and will always have one in my cabinet. I also know alot of guys with 500's and they love them also. I am partial to the 870 but that's just me. Either one of those two pump guns would be the last you'd ever have to buy.

thanks for the info so far.....have heard a lot about those guns but kinda wanted an autoloader. Should've mentioned that in the first place.
