Elk tenderloin and fine Spanish wine...
I am an American, and I am extremely proud. I watch CNN, and I see that our men and women are dying for my rights, and that Brits are doing the same thing. I see the Spaniards giving full support from day one with both troops and money, and now Australia has joined us.
When you grill up those elk tenderloins next weekend, if you can afford it, by all means serve a beautiful California Cabernet Sauvignon with it and feel good about the bounty your family is so fortunate to have. You may even want to raise a toast to the health and safety of our miltary and their families, and wish them Godspeed and many thanks, and a very speedy return. If you can' t afford it, however, buy a nice Spanish wine and enjoy it just as heartily. And if that is out of your reach, look for an Australian wine. They are good, too, and they don' t cost much. But whatever you do, don' t buy a French wine. Support those who support us, and by doing so show the world that we are a grateful people, and a people who stand with those who stand up for freedom. God Bless America, Viva Espana and God Save the Queen. |

Actually with more and more good wines coming out of Texas these days I would just as soon boycott California wines as well.

I have had a bottle of Australian sparkling wine in the fridge since the third day to be open when Saddam/Badhdad falls. For beer drinkers Bass Ale from England is very good. Bottoms up. Poland too has troups! Wine from Texas...., I' ll stick with Napa and Sonoma.

I will have to settle for Oven baked deer roast and ice tea. I don' t know where the tea was made but the deer was made in South Dakota. Gave up all booze. I join you in a prayer for our fighting men and woman. Hope they make it back for a toast.
