RE: Revolver holster
Kinda depends on your other gear and clothing. I've always said a holster is like a piece of clothing in that it's personal and it has to go with whatever else you're wearing. I likea hip holster, butdon't use one with my hunting gear because of the type of belt rig I carry. I also like a shoulder or chest holster, but you need to make sure it won't interfere with your draw. Make sure you're legal, too; in OH we're not allowed to carry a firearm while bowhunting, except for CCW.

RE: Revolver holster
I have to agree with USMC.
What kind of revolver are we talking about? Is it a 4" Python or a 10" S&W 500? Is it scoped? Right now I am looking for a holster for my 4" Colt Trooper to carry with me as a back up as I am boing to use my muzzleloader this year. My problem is that I am lefty. I sent several emails out to custom manufacturers for a cross draw belt holster for it. Bucause I wear a short, waist lenght jacket while hunting, this will be a perfect rig for me. I will not interfer with me sitting or walking and will be out of the way of my fanny pack. When I carry my scoped S&W 29 with its 8 3/8" barrel, I carry a bandolier type holster made of codura outside my jacket. |

Problerly more than you'll want to spend or wait for but just about any leather I buy now comes from Mitch Rosen. Moe $ but very much worth it!

I prefer the Blackhawk tactical stuff for a pistol holster... The one that straps onto your leg with a quick release... Not sure which model it is..
