Weatherby Vanguard 30-06
 

I found one with the tan-webbed stock for $390 at a local Wal-Mart. I don't have a 30-06 ora Weatherby. I know, shame on me for not owning at least one rifle chambered in 30-06. How unamerican of me. Anyway, does anyone think this is a good deal? I think the regular price was something like $449. Thanks in advance.

you can't go wrong with that round
weatherby makes a solid gun
ya you won't get big talk cause it's a vangaurd
but go out and shoot some diff. loads/manuf. and find what she likes to digest
and you'll have one hell of a gun
magnums are the crazy right now
but ask any old timer and they will tell you that there are few animals that won't fall from a 30-06
plus the ammo is everywhere
buy it you won't be sorry
i purchased a 30-06 win model 70 at walfart and love the gun

Sounds like a good deal on that rifle. Don't feel bad tho-I don't own a 30-06 either. I'm a 7mm diameter bullet fan and if that's too small,I jump up to at least a .35 caliber.
