RE: What scope rings and how do they grab?

Leupold rings are nothing to write home about, dual dovetail, std and especially QR' s ...they are at best average rings. I have tried about every combination out there with the exception of Talley rings...I mean every manufacturer and there are three that don' t slip and yet are easy on the scope and w/e inside the scope...Conetrols and Burris Signatures. ruger rings(they need to be lapped though)...the only downside on the Signatures is their lowest size is medium...They will not leave a mark on the scope and hold it fiercely. The downside of Conetrols are the price. Like everything in life you get what you pay for.

I also have a set of Leupold QR base and rings. I really like them. I like the idea of taking the scope off the rifle for cleaning.;)s
