I personally like the Remington Model 700, 30-06 and use 180 core-lokts when hunting elk. Its not a fancy gun, but its a gun that will do the job and is very affordable. I do not like the Ruger 77, 30-06 because of its weight, but its a great shooting rifle also, you just gotta put the shots in the bread basket. ;)
