Info On Old Hand Gun
Buddy of mine just inherited his grandfather hand gun. I'm going to try and get pictures but in the meantime this is what he says is written on it.
Forehand and Indian Wadsworth .32 cal with 3" barrel, six shot There is a marking on the side with letters de and abk with a wolf lookin thing in between. He believes the gun is from prior to 1890. What can you guys tell him about this pistol? Tom |

RE: Info On Old Hand Gun
Forehand and Wadsworth made revolvers from about 1871 to 1890. It should be a Forehand and Wadsworth, Indian model, pretty much the same as the British bulldog. I suspect the picture is a bulldog. Heres a link to a detailed picture of a British Bulldog. http://collectableweapons.com/Listings/info.php?id=91
Its seems that these were cheaply made revolvers and dont hold a ton of value. Although I would never sell if it was my grandfathers. |
