Rem. 870 youth 20 ga. ?????
 

Just bought one for my 11 yr. old, my question is, if I put a rifled choke tube in it, will it shoot slugs out to 50-60 yards pretty good out of the field barrel?

solo - I am not sure what the rifled choke will do. But I have a 12 ga 870 and I tried several different brands of slugs and the ones that were the most accurate were the Federal Tru-Ball slugs. Can't say if they make them in 20 ga, but it may be worth looking into.

Well I went out and shot this little 20ga.....Man that thing has a little kick to it:D Hope it doesn't knock the little guy over. I had thought about setting him in a ladder stand with my hang on above him to film...but we may be in the ground blind after shooting that, even though he will be wearing a safety harness, Iam sure getting blown off a ladder stand dangling would be tramatic.
