i've got a marlin 336 in .35 rem. , it's the second one i've ever owned , i sold the first one back in 94' when funds got low ( didn't want too but i did it anyway ) . bought a new one in 96' when the funds situation got better , it was the newer version with the wrap around checkering . ain't gonna do that again , i'm never getting rid of another .35 caliber again ,
she's a accurate rifle when you use her for what she was intended for and gives a great wound channel with really great bleeding , i just got some leverrevolution ammo for it but haven't had the chance to put them through her yet. but from the regular ammo's accuracy , i'm thinking it should be a very good combination.

I have a Marlin 336 in the .35 and it is a really good gun. I don't use it much anymore because I have several other ones to chose and it is hard to shoot all of them. Though when someone needs to borrow a gun it is the one we usually loan out since there is not much you can do to hurt them. They are accurate and it doesn't kick too much.

I had a Marlin 336C in 35 Rem back in the seventies. Nice rifle...long since gone. My brother hunts with Rem model 141 in 35 rem. He and I were moose hunting 2-3 years back and he DRILLED a small bull (708 dressed), with his 35, his him straight on right in the boiler room. The bull turned and ran about 20 yards and balled up! He was using 200grain? rem corelokt.

I grew up hunting in Pa. In the early '50's, many, many hunters carried a .35 Rem--Remington 14's, 141's, or Marlins. The .35had a reputation for killing "far beyondit's size". I don't know the reason, butI suspect that it was because of the fine 200 grainsoft point bullets that were factory loaded by Rem and Win. The .35 Remis an excellentshort/medium range caliber for deer or black bear.
