Wolf .223 ammo
 

I shoot a Savage 24f in .223/12ga. I tried some Wolf .223 thru it and at first it worked fine. The gun's a single shot break-down. It never really slings the spent cartridge out. After firing between 10 to 20 rounds at a leisurely rate it started really popping them out. A few more rounds and the gun didn't want to open. I forced it open and the extractor ripped the case off. I had to remove the extractor pin and had to use a antenna wire to shove it out. I know that many use Wolf lacquered ammo in their AR's without problems, my question is has anyone had similar problems with other single shots?

Not with single shots but i did get a cartridge stuck in my AR-15 once its not bad ammo after every shot clean the barrel and chamber and it should extract them better and or try brass and see if u have ectracting problems with that.

The regular Wolf ammo has too much laquer on it for alot of US made firearms, to shoot up what I had, I ran some 00 steel wool over the cases to break some of it down. Next time you buy some get the Wolf Military Classic, it doesnt have near the amount of laquer on it, fires fine out of my AR, and is pretty accurate also.

For every person who has used wolf ammo in their AR without problems, there is at least another who has had it jam his rifle up solid.
