The same could be said about you, the 710 is indeed made by remington.

"The Remington 710 series is a modified version of the popular Remington 700 rifle, and has been manufactured by Remington Arms since 2001 at their Manufacturing plant in Mayfield, KY."

Remingtons import guns are the SPR series and are from Russia.

Ok, so you got me that one. But again, I never said that savage were bad. I like Remington better. Just a personal preference. I don’t like the way Savage actions feel. Too much slop. I don’t understand who figured out this magical 10 year mark. The Remington 700ADLhas remained the same throughout out the years. My personal Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag. It is unaltered from its box, with theexception of the trigger being adjusted. (Which is the same as adjusting the ACCU-Trigger?) I shoot .3" groups. I have a friend with a Savage, and had owned one previously. Ilike the Remington better. Just my honest opinion! Please everyone stop with the DADDY SYNDROME!

My newest 700 is an 05 model while my oldest is an 83 model with a bunch in between. The 05 out shoots the 83 but overall I have a 97 model adl synthetic that puts the other 5 to shame.

pahntr - I don't recall anyone here saying Rem was bad either. And I mentioned it before and will do so again. I like the Rem action and think it is a great foundation for a custom rifle.
But as far as production guns go, If I had to choose between a Rem or Sav. - I would probably opt for the Savage. But that is my opinion.
As for the pumps by Remington - I don't think any one would turn over their 760 for a 7600. The old 760 is a real workhorse of a rifle and is very accurate for a pump. At least all the ones I've owned or were owned by frineds and family. They have accounted for a lot of filled tags here in PA where I'm from too.
But I don't see a Savage action as being sloppy either.

Here is just my 2 cents on this. As a new hunterI decided to go with the Savage.I looked at the packages and was about to get one of them but could not find one in town that was not in the camo.I really did not care that they had a crappy scope becauseI figured if it lasted me through one season that is all it really had to do.They can be replaced people.I ended up chosing the 114 American classic. The reason thatI did this was because it fit my budget and the store i bought it from had what i was looking for.

I ment no hard feelings!!

A also have a 1969 Remington 760 in 308. I have killed most, (all but 2), of my deer with that rifle.( i just need a new foreend and dont want to swap to synthetic!)But I am stationed at Hill AFB, UT, and decided on getting a more long range gun. Enter my 7 Rem Mag in an ADL. Savages are good guns, prolly just about the same as Remmy in all honesty, i just prefer the Remington name on mine! No other reason.

P.S. I maybe comming back to PA this fall for deer. My military status gives me a guarenteed Antlerless tag and a $2.00 license.

Too funny.......
Woulda been better if lardbutt shot himself in the foot. Thank you for showing us how childish, and downright dangerous people can become when they want to look funny. Videos like that will spell the end of this great sport, shame on you for posting it here.
