Anyone Find The Recoil Pad On Tikkas Hard?
 

Couple weeks ago i bought a 300 WSM Tikka T3 blued and i was shooting it in a t shirt and that thing is like a rock on the sholder the gun it self doesnt kick, its just the recoil pad its horrible, does anyone else have a tikka, tell me what you think about the recoil pad.

I'd call more like a butt pad than a recoil pad. I just replaced it on my Sako 75..."bout the same. Change it if you want something softer.

Most guys replace the pad with a Limbsaver, seems to help alot from what they say.

On every rifle or shotgun that I buy I put a quality recoil pad on it, usually a Pachmayr or Limbsaver.

Recoil Pads? My dad has a few older rifles i grew up learning to shootthat had plastic but plates. One of which is an old Remington 700 in 300 Win Mag. I do have recoil pads on my guns that come with them but im not worried about changing them if they are too hard.
