Which to get?
considering getting a Remington titanium or mountain rifle laminated stainless in either 270 or 30/06 which do you all think I should get?
|
RE: Which to get?
depends on what you are going to do with it. if consistantly going after things larger than deer go with the 30-06. smaller things go with the 270

RE: Which to get?
though the 270 will take elk consistantly

RE: Which to get?
The 30-06 is probably the better " all-around" choice since it can be used on the big bears and moose, while the 270 is probably a better choice for deer. It depends what you want to use it for.

RE: Which to get?
Both of these rounds would work great for you. Because the ' 06 can offer heavier bullets it may be the most versatile. It depends on what your shooting at. If you' re not going to hunt anything larger than deer, the 270 will work great. Larger than that, and you may want to consider the ' 06. My personal preference would be the 7mm Remington Mag., it will cover everything the 270 or the ' 06 can handle, plus a little more if needed.

RE: Which to get?
thanks for the replys I think I' ll get the 270 mountain rifle should be a good deer gun then for anything bigger I' ll use my 7mm ultra mag or 300 ultra mag the Titanium would be nice but it' s $400.00 more so I' ll go with the mountain rifle

RE: Which to get?
Given those choices I would definitely go with the titanium 30.06.
Personally I would get it in .280 if it is available. Can' t go wrong with the 30-06, very versatile. |
