help me pick a slug gun
my girlfriend thinks she wants to go deer hunting with me this year. I told her that if she wanted to go that she needed a gun. she said "wtih all the guns you have there's not one i can use..." heck no, i see a way to added another to the collection. so here's what i'm thinking, i need a 20ga. i want to make it double as a field gun too. so i want 2 barrels a 28" and a fully rifled scope mount deer barrel. i also want to get a full size and youth stock. (so it can fit both of us). i prefer syn stock or camo and automatic.
where does that leave me? i think i know my only option but id like to hear other ideas.

Browning BPS would be my pick. And if you want to go cheap get a H&R ultra with an extra barrel you can swap out.
The hardest part about your situation is the stock. I think it would be easier to just get a youth model and either shoot it that way, or put a slip on recoil pad on it it to lengthen it a bit if you want it longer. Changing the stock on a pump or an H&R is a bit of pain in my opinion.

The870 full size combo that comes with the 28" smooth bore barrel and the 23" rifled barrel with cantilever scope mount is the ticket.Get a youth stock for you girlfriend. I also suggest mounting a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x 32mm shotgun scope on the rifled barrel. I have the same set up but in 12ga. I put a youth stock on the full size 870 this year so my son could use it for trap shooting. I do suggest getting the 20ga. if your girlfriend is going to shoot slugs.

H&R 20ga. for $225 is an absolute tack driver at 100yrds, 1" groups with lightfields or the faster moving Barnes expanders. With the money left over, just buy a dedicated 28" field gun and avoid the hassle

Thats true, but the Mossberg will never be as accurate as the 20ga H&R, I've owned a Moss.for many years. I still recommend the H&R and with the $200 or so left over, you can buy a Walmart 28" field gun.
IMO, the only gun to out shoot the H&R is a custom like the $2K 20ga Tarhunt or possibly the Savage 210 bolt but the Savage is known to have ejection issues with shells hitting the scopebut there are solutions tothis problem.
